StencilClub Voices Art with Mary Beth Shaw's Private Collection 17.1 Stencils

Hello and Happy New Year! Carol Baxter here.

I'm not sure if it is more exciting for our StencilClub Voices to get stencils to make art with early or for me to get first look at the abundant of art they share in these posts. (If you are a StencilClub member and part of the secret group on Facebook you can ask Jade, Tina, and Heidi.)

Jade Adams' Polar Bear + Angel & Rose Art Journal Pages

Jade says: I have been so drawn to the geometric art lately and knew the minute I saw this stencil I had to do something geometrical!

Above is a polar bear paper cutting piece using the 6" x 6" stencil. I coated it with a gold leafing pen and a gold accented scrapbook paper.

Tina Sylvester Perry's Mixed Media Journal Cover

Tina says: I wanted to do something with a darker base so I painted the cover with black gesso.  I used molding paste, Metallic Inka Gold and Metallic Luster rubs. To add more texture I tried using micro beads for the first time (love them). I think it turned out nice.

Heidi Blackmar's Name Tag Stickers, Ephemera, & Upscaled Wine Bottle

Heidi says: I hope you enjoy the creative twists from my studio.

I upscaled a wine bottle with my deli paper gelli prints. I used gesso first and then matte medium to adhere the prints. The band in middle of bottle is an awesome print made on cardstock that I pulled off my Gelli plate.

The tags on the bottle are another awesome print I used in my die cut machine.

To the left and right of the bottle are envelopes I've been
making into journals. The signature is has prints from stencils
as well. I want to highlight the cool details in my jar stickers as I love these and can't wait to use in my art journal.

The following picture is of tags I die gut from Gelato stenciled card stock.

I made stenciled on name tag stickers using my Gelli plate and filled the white spaces in with Gelatos.

I cut the stickers pictured below in my die cut machine and now they are great additions to my ephemera.

Have fun with this months club stencils!

  3. Tina - great cover - cannot wait for my stencils to arrive, so that I can have a go. My book is square, so will need to do a bit of tweaking but that should be okay.
