Paula Phillips aka JournalArtista here. I am so happy to share with you my page using the 1700's Building Stencil designed by the awesome Carolyn Dube.
My page started out with a layer of brown paint with a few napkins collaged on top. I then chose this technique to apply the Golden Light Molding Paste:

I should have left the page at that, but I decided to add some deep purple. Way too dark! I dry brushed a bit of gesso to tone down the darkness, shown here:
I then added black marker to outline the edges of the light molding paste, using my finger to smudge a bit.
Happier with the way the texture pop'ed, I added a bit of yellow paint in the window openings.
