Hello all of you art lovers. Carol Baxter here. It is Monday as I curate this CreativeTeam post and I must say it is a captivating way to begin a Monday, or in your case a Thursday, or a Tuesday, or a Wednesday, or a Friday, but any day is best! I shall let Karen, Kristie, Marleen, and Anna tell you about the stenciled art they made in their own words:
Karen Gaunt's Greeting Card
When I was going through my stencil stash I knew that Pam Carriker's Bird In Window stencil would be perfect. Pair it with some gelli printed papers I had in my stash and I am really happy with the way my card turned out.
Kristie Taylor's Greatest Gift
A welcome reminder framed in full color using Gears (stencil is pictured below) Mandala 1 by Mary beth Shaw, and Circuits by Nathalie Kalbach.
Marleen van Meerendonk's Art Journal Spread
This time I made an Art Journal spread. I was inspired by the stencil Osprey Wings.
Simple Geo Circles are always great to use.

I find the mandala stencils very versatile to use for much more than just actual mandalas.
This time I tried to capture the feel of exuberance, sunshine and excitement on my art journal page, by adding them as rays for the sun.
I added a portion of the diamond shape within the mini Diagonalz stencil to the sun rays as well.
I also used Shattered and the April 2016 StencilClub stencils.
You can see step-out photos of my unPlanner calendar on my blog: www.artfulstories.blogspot.com.

ReplyDeleteI agree with Kristie! And Marleen -- I wonder if I might have your permission to re-post your breathtaking artwork on my blog? Giving you full credit, of course. I'm delighted you chose my stencil Osprey Wings.
