Line Up! Stencil. Repeat.

Line Up and Repeat.
It sounds like an order when you say it aloud.
Heard you try it. LOL

At StencilGirl® we only want to give you insight into what you can do with stencils. (Never orders.)

That said, when "line up" is applied to a batch of stencils rather than a crowd, you can transform a blank paper into something wonderful!

The rolling pin, spatula, and whisk will have you stenciling in nothing flat! This Baking Utensil Repeat Stencil is by June Pfaff Daley. Need baking implements? June has you covered.

These stencils next few stencils were designed to line up perfectly horizontally and vertically.

Quilt your own garden on paper with the pretty adjoining blossoms of the Quilted Flower Garden Stencil by Cecilia Swatton.

Diamonds may indeed be a girl's best friend but it is increasingly expensive to make art with jewels.
Try Mary Beth Shaw's darling Leaf Diamond Stencil instead!

TIP: The easiest way to line up the stencil perfectly is to match the edge row of the stencil over the pattern row you have already painted.

What if you could make raindrops splash just the way you wanted? Andrew Borloz achieves just that with his Bent Drops Small Stencil. It pairs nicely with the single design, Bent Drops Mini Flower.

We "tote" you stenciling was fun!

The hand-drawn tile pattern of  Kristie Taylor's Diamond Bell Square Stencil is ready for you to block out this pattern across the pages of your art journal and so much more.

Here it is shown with Crystal 12 pt. Mandala.

And now we come to the elegant Medieval Leaf Motif Stencil by Jessica Sporn.
Wouldn't it be lovely stenciled on the edge of a skirt?

It can also be used to make a flower as in the blue and gold pattern below.
Nifty as a background too.

This hand-drawn beauty, Curliecue Allover, by Janet Joehlin is not an exact match with regard to the earlier tip, but it would also make a pretty repeat pattern at the edge of a shirt or skirt.

Here, Janet has used Curliecue Allover in her art journal.

This stencil by Carol Wiebe is repeatable, but note the little extra space between the middle and right row. It gives the eye a place to rest and wonder. Joy! Use the Diamond Facets #1 Stencil to create a larger repeating pattern. Maybe on fabric?! Check out 3 more diamond facets by Carol.

You'll need to turn Mary Beth Shaw's Ribbon Weave Stencil to repeat it:

The Star Quilt Stencil by Mary Beth Shaw in small or mini sizes is fun for lining up side by side by side by side by...

Quit #1Small or Mini, also by Mary Beth, allows you to create a twirled pattern you can use with alternating colors.

Quilt it on paper or fabric.

Your mission, we hope you'll choose to accept it, is as the card at the top stated, to "bake the world a better place" by going forth and making art :)

Four New Stencils including Crocodile & Snakeskin Repeating Patterns from Jennifer Evans

Hello! I hope you are ready to go fashionista with Jennifer Evans today because she has created a video tutorial for a stenciled scarf with her Snakeskin and Crocodile Repeating Pattern Stencils.

And that's not all! She has two new floral stencils, the small Floral Dots & Marks, and the mini Floral Dots, as well as her Interesting Dots Pattern Stencil that pair quite nicely with the other four stencils.

Keep on scrolling for the DIYs, or if you can't wait to get these new stencils head over to StencilGirl and shop.

Okay, slithery snakes might not be your thing, but a Snakeskin Repeating Pattern Stencil, now that is something you'll want to be nestled in your studio tools!

Smile! It's a Crocodile Repeating Pattern Stencil! Backgrounds? Faux leather? Gorgeous textiles? Either the croc or snakeskin patterns fit the bill!

Jennifer Evans is not a fan of reptiles but she was inspired by a crocodile embossed handbag and then, while visiting a botanical garden with rescue animals, two alligators in a pond showed off lovely-to-look-at-from-a-distance skin patterns. The snakeskin pattern developed as a cousin.

Jennifer is looking forward to using the patterns with spring palettes in unusual ways.

Jennifer created her hand-drawn Interesting Dots Stencil S679 with organic marks as a wonderful 6" x 6" stencil for pattern integration in your art! Jennifer's inspiration comes from her love of working with spheres.

In the stenciled (cotton) scarf video below, she uses Interesting Dots to do just that with the Crocodile and Snakeskin Patterns Stencils and Jacquard Textile Color Inks.

Jennifer's cute floral stencils, the small Floral Dots & Marks Repeating and the mini Floral Dots stencils are great for bouquets and ushering in springtime in your art!

She made you a DIY for each stencil. Have fun with watercolors, Inktense Pencils, and NeoColors water-soluble crayons!

Marvelous New Stencils Inspired by Morocco and Mid-Century Modern

Travel across the globe or back in time with new stencils by Daniella Woolf and Valerie Sjodin. Each artist has a video to go with her stencils!

Daniella Wolf's Hand-Drawn, Moroccan Themed Stencils

Daniella recently traveled to Morocco and came back with memories and stencil designs she hand-drew for you.

Daniella says, "What thrilled me about Morocco was the people: how welcoming, kind and loving they were. The Ancient Berber Culture is an inspiration. The food was insanely delicious. The number of artisans working in ceramics, metal, mosaic, leather, textiles, etc. intrigued me. There were goats in Argan trees, a blue city, geometry, symmetry, and pattern everywhere. It was impossible to not be inspired."

The Moroccan Spa Window Stencil (S751) was influenced by a beautiful hotel that had a spa. This was in the seacoast town of Essaouira. Daniella thought the repeat pattern was compelling.

The Fez Medina Wall Stencil (S749) was inspired by a wall in an interior courtyard inside the Medina in Fez. This is one photo in one tiny section that continued infinitely.

The symbol of the Marrakesh Medina Wall Mask (S750) was a typical symmetric motif that Daniella noticed over and over on the exteriors of buildings and inside of hotels.

Watch Daniella's visual diary of Morocco HERE.

The Stars of Mid Century Modern Designed by Valerie Sjodin

The repeatable Six Point Star Grid + Dots Stencil (S752), a Mid-Century Modern pattern, is good for backgrounds, tags, cards, etc.

The pattern of the Four Point Star Grid Stencil (S753) is versatile and repeatable to add numerous Mid-Century Modern styles and backgrounds.

The stars of the Mid Century Modern Stars Stencil (S754) sparkle and make artwork special with a nod to space exploration and whimsy.

Layer tree trunks and leaves, a dancing woman, Mid-Century Modern patterns and banners that are perfect for cards and stamping with the ATC Mixup Sjodin Stencil (L672).
