Made by Janet

Hello Stencil Friends!
Janet here to show you some of my latest artwork using
StencilGirl Stencils!

I had an idea to make my two grandkids their own little art journals.

I started with a sheet of canvas paper and built layers
using spray paint, spray inks, and acrylic paint.

I love the little bits of color showing through the last turquoise layer.
The stencils I used on this are my Curlicue Floral

I sewed watercolor paper with a simple pamphlet stitch binding
right into the canvas paper (very strong and durable).
Then I used my sewing machine and stitched on the flap and velcro.

Next time they visit grammy's house we will add their hand prints to the covers.

I treasure every little drawing I get from those babies!

I hope I can help instill in them their own creative identity.
And just wait till I show them how to use stencils!

Moving on to some art journal pages....

I scribble journaled all over the side of this one.

And played with watercolors on this one.

Then stenciled the face onto some gelli plate experiments in my Daily.

Also in my Daily....

I have been working on some stitching with stencils
and hope to show you next month!
Happy May everyone!
