StencilClub Voices at Play with Rosie O!

Can't stop playing is the action in the studios of this month's StencilClub Voices! We painted, art journaled, and carded our way with Rosie O, the set Desiree Habicht created exclusively for StencilClub. I can't wait for you to see what Pamela, Kim, and Peg made!

Pamela Levingston's Art Journal

Pam writes: "These stencils are a great match for watercolors!"

"I just couldn't stop playing so I created a second project in my journal. The stencils paired up well with a napkin I had. On June 9th and 10th you can discover posts about these two projects on my blog."

Kim Ross' Art Journal

Kim writes, "We had rain the day I decided to stay indoors and played with Desiree Habicht’s June StencilClub set. Rosie O is a terrific collection, and I put it through some serious testing, using everything from molding paste to paint markers to jelly pen." 

"For this page spread, the last of my first art journal, I used Desiree’s stencils with my favorite color palette, markers and pens. It was a fun way to spend a rainy day and I can’t wait to experiment further with these pretty flower and swirly sunny shapes. Thanks, Desiree, for June’s excellent stencils!"

Carol Baxter's Watercolor Cards

I must repeat, our StencilClub Voices brought their a-games. Pamela and Peg even found the time to blog! They certainly inspire me.

Pamela was right, these stencils do lend themselves to watercolors. I have a big box of ephemera and I wanted to see if I could find pieces, in my mind anyway, that matched up with Desiree's Rosie O set.

I think I am "on the beam" with this vintage looking birthday card.

I am squawking happily over the parrot card. Watercolors are fun!

StencilClub Voices Create with Post-Memphis

Greetings and Salutations! It's Carol Baxter from StencilGirl® waving at you. 

Mary Beth Shaw and I think the world of our StencilClub Voices!  This month, Peg Robinson, Kim Ross, and Pamela Levingston have stepped up to share the fun they had with the May 2018 StencilClub set, Post Memphis, designed by Andrew Borloz.

Get Festive with Peg Robinson

Peg writes: "These stencils started me thinking about Cinco de Mayo celebrations and the festivities. I think that is where the bright colors and fun character sprang from in these pieces."

Shazam by Kim Ross

Kim writes: "Andrew’s stencils were exactly what I needed to bring my figures to life. When I first saw them, I thought they looked like a celebration of confetti! The swirls and twirls combined perfectly with the squares, triangles and circles, and I really loved the shazam power of the lightning bolts. I can’t wait to use these terrific stencils on future projects!"

Pretty Simple Cards by Carol Baxter

I wanted to make a birthday card for someone special who keeps telling me, "No birthdays!" I left room to write a sentiment.

The clock struck midnight and I realized I had been stenciling a few hours! Here's the results:

I've also been thinking I'd like to make some note card sets that I could have on hand to give to friends. Hence, Yes Ma'am

... and OK. Perhaps this needs an "a" to make it A OK?

The one above has stenciling under the washi tape. I will still send it off somewhere, because a wise person once told me that there were no mistakes in scrapbooking or card making, but I do think the one below looks better.

Oh! I just realized I have patterned rice paper that will match up with these Post Memphis stencil, paint color, and washi tapes. Now to find it so I can create an art journal spread!
