Join us in welcoming
StencilGirl Guest Designer Cathy Taylor!!!
Boy, do we have a treat for YOU!
Cathy will be here for TWO days!
She will be showing you so many ideas on how to use Alcohol Ink and StencilGirl stencil in your work.
Sit back, get those alcohol inks and stencils ready!
Idea ONE......
With a small piece of paper towel, coat a piece of
Teraskin mineral paper with 91% rubbing alcohol.
Immediately apply stencil. I am using Fairy Tale Tree Mask.
Squirt alcohol inks onto the paper.
Use
several colors.
Tilt
and allow inks to tun under stencil.
Colors
will mix and flow.
Lay
flat
Monoprint
another sheet of paper. am using Yupo, onto the stencil to pick up extra ink.
Allow monoprint to dry and use for future painting.
Remove stencil after inks are dry.
Or use a spray bottle of alcohol to create misty areas. (work in a ventilated area).
You may soften edges with a cotton swab dipped in
alcohol.
Alcohol inks resist and flow in unusual ways leaving neat patterns
Idea 2.....
On a sheet of Yupo paper, squirt several colors of ink.
Using a makeup sponge, blend inks.
Drop more ink onto the Yupo.
Allow inks to blend.
Tilt the paper and allow inks to drip.
Add more ink and tilt other direction.
Spray alcohol
onto the inks to create misty areas.
When inks are dry, apply stencil. I am using Batik
stencil.
With a piece of paper towel dampened, not WET, with
alcohol, erase cut out areas.
Change paper towel often.
For small areas, use a cotton swab.
Continue until all cut out areas are blended.
Remove stencil
You may enjoy the design as is or, using markers and inks, work back into the design.
I am using a white Signo Uniball pen
Make sure you stop back tomorrow because Cathy has even MORE ideas for you!!!!

What you're saying is completely true. I know that everybody must say the same thing, but I just think that you put it in a way that everyone can understand. I'm sure you'll reach so many people with what you've got to say.
