I fell in love with this Fossil Fish stencil as soon as I
saw it!
I knew I wanted to use it in my journal.
I started by laying down some color with a brayer, using 2
different shades of blue, Golden’s Teal and Americana’s Bahama blue and white
gesso.
Once I had a background I liked, I put down some pattern
using the Diamond Waves stencil with a makeup
sponge, just trying to give it a little depth.
I used Americana’s Calypso blue.
Now it was time to use the awesome Fossil Fish stencil! I laid it out in two parts, the first half on
one side and the tail on the opposite side, and then did a little detail pen
work to give the bones some depth.
From here I used the Diamond Waves stencil, and the Limited Edition CHA Bundle stencil from Traci Bautista to give an underwater look with reeds and
rocks.
I then spent some time giving
them depth.
I finished the page off with the words “Chasing My Tail”
Thanks for playing.
