StencilGirl® Wish Flag Collaboration

Hello and Happy Monday!  Tina Walker here today with my latest Collaboration Column; Wish Flags!

I always love creating new challenges, especially for projects that I personally have never created before.  I have always wanted to create a wish flag for my backyard, so this collaboration was the perfect time to make one.

I didn't waste any time thinking about to incorporate StencilGirl® stencils into my flags!  I pulled out my trusty Gelli Plate and went to work!

The base for each flag is a plain white cotton sheet.  I love the clean, white background and the sheet was super inexpensive.

I ripped up similar sized rectangles and did the usual gelli plate magic.  I didn't bother to use fabric paints and was impressed with how basic acrylic paint worked with the sheet.  I let the printed background shine and only added a simple stamped phrase to each flag.  To finish them off, I layered batting with metallic ribbon for a shabby chic look.

When I hung them on my deck railing, I just loved how they moved in the breeze.  It is so peaceful and calming.

But let's move past my flags and check out some of the beautiful inspiration from my fellow Wish Flag participants.  There is so much variety and different techniques.  I am in awe!
