Hi everyone! It is Maria.
Welcome to the Nathalie Kalbach Stencil Hop featuring the Arabesque stencil she designed for StencilGirl.
I am having so much fun playing in all of Nathalie's Hops!
Today I'm going to call my post Good Idea Gone Bad.
You see....not every project goes the way you want it. Sometimes....well, you look at it and think--"What the heck was I thinking??!!" This my friends in stencil land is one of those projects. So much so that I started another project because I didn't want to show it to you, but you know what?? Art Journaling is just that....there is a meaning to the pages I do. It can show your mood, your feelings and so on.
So....here we go. Please be gentle :)
I absolutely LOVE Nathalie's Arabesque stencil and I absolutely LOVE the stamps I used by Kari McKnight Holbrook. You will even see some of Nathalie's Elephant March in this page. But....sometimes you just have an "off" day.
So then I made this....

A little better...and I was thrilled that I used not only Nathalie's Arabesque stencil from StencilGirl but also used Crackle, What's the Point and Circut all on one page.
So there you have it....not a perfect set of projects, but some that obviously reflected what kind of day I was having--to me I think this is TRUE Art Journaling :)
Now please go see the fantastic things these other artists did with the Arabesque stencil...but before you go, please make sure you leave a comment here. Nathalie is giving one of her Arabesque stencils away and ALL of the comments on ALL of the blogs are eligible!
