Announcing Mary Beth Shaw's StencilGirl 2016-17 CreativeTeam!

We chose a group of artists, each with a wide variety of talents, who work from their heart and soul and are not afraid to shake things up.

Drumroll please!
Mary Beth Shaw is pleased to announce the newest members of her
StencilGirl CreativeTeam:

Tina Walker

Tina Walker is a lover of all things Artsy and Crafty! Art is an outlet that allows her to keep her sanity and is a retreat from her daily career responsibilities.
She has been crafty her entire life, creating in bursts of artistic energy. In 2009 the scrapbooking bug hit her hard when she moved to Salt Lake City, the home to all things Scrapbooking.  Creating became more a way of life than an occasional pastime.
Tina’s project selection and medium choice is constantly changing. She loves to experiment and believes bad mistakes do not exist.  All “mistakes” are a chance to learn and try new ideas.  As Tina says, “You can always cover it with Gesso and start over.”
Her latest creative passion is all things Mixed Media, including Art Journaling, Assemblage, and Fabric Art. Mixed Media is her perfect discipline because it encompasses multiple products, mediums and design techniques.

"I am truly blessed to be part of this amazing community and
I hope I can bring a bit of sunshine to your crafty world!"

Kristie Taylor

Kristie Taylor began her artistic journey when she was a small girl. She would sit at her mother’s feet as she sewed and collect fabric scraps to make Barbie clothes. At some point, someone bought her crayons and a coloring book, and it all started with those simple tools. When Kristie was about 10 years old she even won a painting contest at the local library.
She’s been creating most of her life and doesn’t plan to stop her artistic “obsession” anytime soon.
Kristie loves to create all kinds of things and can happily spend hours and hours in her studio painting and assembling mixed media or assemblage projects. Kristie loves to put different things together to create something new and beautiful.

"I am beyond thrilled to be asked to join the StencilGirl family and
I hope I can inspire you to use your stencils in all kinds of ways!
I can’t wait to see where this journey takes us!"

Karen Gaunt

Karen is a mixed media artist with a passion for color and a soft spot for paint. She works in a regular job full time and daydreams all day about the moment she can let loose in her journals in the evening. She's a mother as well and loves nothing more than creating with her daughter in their matching art journals.
Karen believes that making Art is for everyone and loves to encourage and inspire others to make. She enjoys trying new techniques and colors and believes that there is no such thing as too many art journals.

"It's a dream come true! So excited to get working!"

Marleen van Meerendonk

Marleen van Meerendonk is from the Netherlands, born and raised in Amsterdam.
She makes everything from mini books, layouts, art journal pages to canvasses. Her inspiration comes unexpectedly and mostly at nighttime when she should be asleep. She collects items from her other hobbies - making jewelry, clothes, and felting scarves - and from time to time, everything falls together and the most amazing and strange projects develop.
Marleen has been a member of several design teams and publications in Holland, including Ten Seconds Studio and Art Anthology. She does not claim a specific style as she has created in many mediums including digital. Marleen design stamps for Unity Stamp Company.

"I feel honored to join this great stencil family with all these talented girls.
This year will be a very creative year and I hope to inspire you all."

Anna Friesen

Anna Friesen is a Canadian mother of three with a child-like wonder of anything beautiful, anything pink, and circles. She delights in exploring with color, patterns and textures on a page. Stencils have long been a love of Anna’s. She used stencils back when she used to scrapbook.

"I am super-stoked to be on the StencilGirl design team and
looking forward to learning new things from everyone."

Tammy Tutterow

Tammy Tutterow is a lifelong artist and crafter who grew up with creative parents in a home full of arts and crafts supplies. She loves all types of crafts but finds her true crafting passion in paper crafts, ribbon work, and fabric crafts ~ combining elements of all three into her projects.  She is also an illustrator, focusing on hand lettered pieces.  She has a signature collection of stamps and dies with Spellbinders Paper Arts.
When Tammy is not creating, she is a wife and mother of three. Her family lives in a vintage bungalow just outside of St. Louis.  If it’s shabby, chippy, or vintage, Tammy adores it ~ she scours flea markets and estate sales for old treasures.
She is a fair weather gardener, so if the spring breezes are blowing, you will probably find her playing in the dirt in her flower garden with her Boston Terrier Cracker Jack by her side.

"I am so excited to be part of the team! What an amazing group of artists!"

Cindy Gilstrap

Cindy Gilstrap is a mixed media artist with a love for art journaling, messy paint palettes, vintage paper and fabric, and new art supplies. It’s not unusual for her to run errands with paint on her clothes.
She loves creating quirky art and inspiring others and believes creative play is so important. Cindy can be found teaching creative classes online at Big Picture Classes and on her own website.

"I am tickled pink and honored to be here!"
