Coat of Many Stencils & Many More to Come!

Hi Carol Baxter popping in to say it is:

Just let me take my jacket off.

Yeah, check out the back! That little tall bird appears to be waiting for a sunflower seed to drop.

A dear friend invited me over, gifted me with a white denim jacket and we sat at her dining table while we chatted, swapped stencils, and colored/traced patterns with permanent markers. What a relaxing afternoon!

Bonus! When you stencil with a friend you get to use their stencils.
Stencils used:
L016, Circle 9 by Michelle Ward (cuffs and pocket flaps)

It was so much fun doodling and I love my jacket just as it is but!

As I took the pictures for this post I started thinking.....

The flower and birds on the back could use a frame, and maybe the sleeves needed a trail of something from the shoulder down, and the front definitely needs more than just the pocket flaps stenciled!

Like an art journal (plus a few stencils and 3 to 5 paints), I think this would be an easy "project" to take on a vacation and add more embellishments because the only supplies are stencils and markers.

I am sitting here chuckling because I am not the only one that has a special creation buddy! My friend Michelle comes over once a week *as life allows. I push a gelli plate and stencils in front of her and the two of us share our stories and allow the healing that only friends and art can bring!
