Hi Stencil Friends!
Janet here,
wanting to show you some things I created this past month.
First off, I had some fun stitching!
I used the Curlicue Allover Stencil for the base design.
This one measures about 5.5 x 7"
I used a variety of colors and sizes of this Eleganza Perle Cotton thread.
I stitched randomly, mixing colors as I went.
Very free form. Very relaxing. Really Fun!
There's lots of different stitches....
some french knots, bullions, chain stitch, satin stitch, stab stitch, seed stitch...
There's SO much texture!
This smaller stitch work is 4 x 5".
I used Sea Grass Thread along with the Eleganza Threads this time.
I love how they turned out!
And in my Daily this month....
I used stencils from Carol Wiebe's Floral Facets
StencilClub Kit for June 2017.
The above border was the 4" grid stencil in the grouping
as well as the Moroccan Doily Stencil on the right.
Here is the same 6" Flower Mask stencil, three ways.
I often randomly place a stencil design in my art journals or my Daily
so I can try color combinations and doodles around them...
kind of like making my own coloring pages for those times
when I need to clear my mind.
Do you do that?
One evening I sat down at my art desk with the urge to just make marks.
Pull out the Marrakech Mix Stencil and the Curlicue Wide Borders....
See you next month!
Happy stenciling to you all!
Beautiful stitch work. Very impressive.
