Flourish Uppercase Stencil ... Hash Marks Stencil ... October 2018 StencilClub

 Hi Stencil Friends!
Janet here, with my StencilGirl Column
focused on Journals and Planners.
For several months I have been obsessed with those
3.5"x 5.5" field note journals.
I gesso each page in advance, several books at a time,
so they are ready and waiting for me!

Art Prompts are given in two month "seasons".
I used one of those little Field Note Journals
for my 'Season of Story' Art Journal.
I'll list all the stencils used on these pages under each photo...

Art is an excellent way of telling your story.
I love my Get Messy Community.

And here are the last several weeks in my Art Planner.

(Frida is a RubberMoon Art Stamp, I know you're wondering!)

I love the textures on Seth Apter Stencils.
I used bits and pieces of S214, S216 and S305.

That's all for now.
Thanks for stopping in!

Happy April to everyone out in Stencil Lover's Land!
Janet here to show you what's on my art desk.
What's new in your world?

Isn't April's design lovely? So sweet and spring like...
Now if only it would quit snowing where I am and turn to spring!
We are HOPEFUL here!

I have several different art avenues open here in my studio.
I am really enjoying the Get Messy Art Journal group.
The Season of Play started April first
and goes for 8 weeks.
I love the texture of this Gridded Stencil over my traced hand.
Admit it! Didn't you trace your hands with crayons?
Like...all the time when you were a child?
Oh yes! Play Play Play!

And....
Instead of letting the excess paint on a stencil go to waste
I press it onto an open page in my art journal.
and ATC Mixup #2 and maybe another one under those layers?

Another fun art thing going on is #the100dayproject on Instagram.
It's 100 days of making...of being creative in any way you choose.
My 100 day commitment is to cut and glue paper.
I am trying to inch my way slowly into collage....maybe.
I started by making my paper....

Stencils of course. Layers and layers.
Acrylic paints, Lindy's Starburst Sprays, Krylon Spray Paints,
Distress Inks, Oxide Inks, Stazon Ink Pads.

Just Layers and Layers of FUN!

Some of my favorites I color copied so I could double and triple their use...
And then I started cutting them up....

Lots of texture and depth.

The stencils I used were:

Plus More? Maybe?
It's hard to keep track under all the layers!

See you next month?
Something new is in the works....
Be on the Look Out!

Hi There Stencil Friends!
Janet here to show you what I've been doing this month!

In my planner...

In my Daily...

And just for fun...

I gave away so many journals these last few months that
I have zero in my possession now.
It was time to make new ones so I pulled out my pad
of canvas paper and began to play.
Below each set of photos I will list all the stencils I used.
 I hope I don't forget any!

And NO...I have not turned them into notebooks yet.
That's my next big project for the new month.
You'll have to tune in for March to see the end results!

What a fun month of getting messy!
Happy Arting!
