Happy Tuesday Stencilers!
Kiala here with another quick and easy art journaling tutorial. This time I've created a tutorial reminding you (or giving you permission) to keep it simple when art journaling. When I review my week, month, and year, I'm always shocked at how much art I didn't make and said it was because I had no time.
Well the truth is, I've been overcomplicating the practice of keeping an art journal. Today, I share with you two ways you can use stencils to keep it simple and make art ever single day (if that is your goal). And if it isn't your goal to make art daily, this tutorial will give you two ideas for getting creative easily.
Both pages were created using the Soulful Scribbles by Traci Bautista.
One of the thing about quick pages is that you don't have time for a lot of supplies and materials. You should do your best to use what you have handy.
I like small bottle of paint that don't take up too much room, black permanent pens, and quotes. Yes, I consider quotes a part of my supply list. For these pages I did a quick search for "quotes on simplicity" because I knew that was what I wanted to document in my journal.
Then I set out to create:
I sure hope you felt inspired to grab your stencils and do something SIMPLE with them in your journal. Use them to border a page or to cover a page -- whatever you do, work quickly and intuitively. If you create a few simple pages and share over social media, I'd love to see what you create. Be sure to tag me.
Happy Stenciling,
Kiala
