Mixed Media Stitching Tools

Using a needle like a paintbrush and thread as paint, I love to respond to the canvas of paint stenciled on fabric with mixed media stitching!     Kristin, This is beautiful. Do you have any tips on doing the satin stitch to keep it smooth? mine always look lumpy.
