Natalie May here today with a bright and colourful page in my Art Journal!
Some days it's all about getting something on a page and this page was super quick and easy and most importantly, bright and fun!
Lets walk through a few of the steps!
I started in my Dina Wakley Kraft journal - I really love working in this size at the moment and also loving the Kraft cardstock pages.
I used the Curvy Ladder Stencil designed by Julie Snidle and lightly attached it to my left hand page.
Using a blending tool, I added a small amount of paint starting at the top and then worked down the page adding all the colours of the rainbow as I went.
After adding the last colour, I flipped the stencil over, gave it a generous spray of water and then used it as a stamp on the right hand page to transfer some of the image over.
For my focal point, I used the Vintage Girls designed by Tiffany Goff Smith and used a black pen to trace straight through onto my page.
I then filled in a few of the gaps in the stencil to create whole images before adding a little wash of gold pain over their cute jackets for some shine.
I finished the page off with some simple stamping of a great dot stamp to 'ground them' and then added a couple of quotes to complete the page.
I am loving this page - the combination of bright colour with the Vintage Girls makes my Arty soul smile!
I hope that you are all having a great day
Natalie May
