Hello! Laura Dame here, and today I am sharing this art journal spread inspired by wildflowers.
If you've ever been to central Texas in the spring, you know that there are tons of wildflowers everywhere. There are so many different types and colors, and they fill fields, line roadways, and sometimes sneak into yards.
But summer always comes eventually, and with that comes the crazy heat. It's been over 100 degrees here for weeks! So all of those beautiful flowers are no longer covering the ground.
As I was looking through my stencils in order to make my project, I came across this Marsh Wildflowers Stencil, and it inspired me to pay homage to our wonderful spring wildflowers in my art journal.
I used some colors that I don't usually reach for (namely the orange and yellow) to try and get a summery, sunset feel. When I was halfway through I sort of felt like it was leaning too much towards fall, but that's okay! It's all about the process!
Speaking of process, I hope you enjoy the video and feel inspired!!
