Carol Ponsford here sharing what I created with the October 2023 StencilClub set
designed by Cat Kerr. This stencil set is packed full of imagery to use in all types of journal pages.

To begin, I rolled black paint on my 8"x10"gel plate with my brayer.
I laid my stencil on the gel plate remembering that I needed to flip the stencil over so
that the word REMEMBER was in reverse so that when I pull the print it would read
correctly. Once the stencil was in place I put a piece of white copy paper on top and
rubbed on top of the paper making sure that I pressed down into all of the crevices of the stencil.
These are the results of the first prints with the stencil still on the gel plate.
I lifted the stencil off and placed another sheet of white copy paper on the plate and
pulled the ghost print. this gave a nice print although it has more texture
than the first print which can be a benefit depending on what you plan to use it for.
Once I had as many parts as I needed I fussy cut out all of the sections that I planned to use.
Then I colored all but the skeleton with Posca Paint Markers using bright colors.
I laid them where I wanted and snapped a photo of the placement on the page.
Then I removed them and painted the page with black gesso.
Using Golden Regular Matte Gel Medium, I glued all of the pieces down on the page.
I left space for a saying and researched what I wanted to write in the space.
The saying I chose was "Canta en el altar de los muertos" which translates
to "Sing at the altar of the dead".
I hope you enjoyed this project and will share what you create. I want to thank
