Welcome to another bookmaking adventure with StencilGirl® and me, Kirsten Varga! This month I am featuring a chunky book with a wrap cover. This book can be made any size and is perfect for sketching, mixed media, collage, etc.!
I decorated a 12x12" piece of cardstock with three colors of acrylic paint, two stencils and one large monoprinting plate by GelliArts®. This will become the cover.
I decorated it further by tracing the stencil with a gold pen. It added the perfect amount and detail and pop!
I prepared 15 signatures from drawing paper and sewed them in individually using a three-hole pamphlet stitch and a running stitch. A screw punch was helpful to prep the cover and an awl was perfect to pierce the holes in the signatures.
I chose white and cream colored waxed linen thread and it was a beautiful contrast to the cover.
I created a tutorial video to show you all the details! Find it on the StencilGirl® YouTube channel HERE!
