I feel like Carolyn Dube made this stencil just for me!
As soon as it was released, I could hardly wait to incorporate it into my map paintings!
I started by painting an aerial landscape map in acrylics on a stretched canvas.
Stretched canvas is my favorite surface on which to paint and stencil!
(There's bits of DecoArt Texture Fierro on the surface, too!)

I used Wendy Vecchi’s gold and silver embossing pastes to add little buildings to my painting.
(You can see my first StencilGirl Talk tutorial with Wendy Vecchi's paste here.)

After placing the stencil onto my painting, I used a trowel palette knife to apply the paste directly onto the stencil.
(You could also use an old credit card or hotel key card, too.)
I applied the paste about the same thickness of the stencil. It's super easy to use!

After applying the paste, I carefully removed the stencil from the painting and cleaned both my stencil and palette knife with a baby wipe.
But I couldn't stop there! Wanted to play more with this stencil on another map painting!
Here's the before painting:
And after:
You can bet I'll be using this stencil a lot more!
I hope you have an inspiring week and have fun playing with your StencilGirl stencils, too!
I just finished a trip and I wanted to do something with a map. How do I fine instructions for drawing a map? Yes, newbie here.
