Wheel In The Sky!

Hi Stencil Lovers!
Janet here...
using the Wheel In The Sky stencil
designed by Kristin Powers.

I will admit....
I was attracted to this stencil because of this big fancy circle...
If you know me, you know I love medallions...
This seemed like a great starting point!

I rubbed the Ranger Jet Black Archival Ink
through the medallion and doodled around it.
I left the center clear until I saw the 'Love Matters Most'...
And I knew exactly what belonged in that circle.
I traced the words onto deli paper then mod podged them where I wanted.

The medallion makes a perfect frame for your perfect quote.
These particular words are from Brave Girl's Club and Melody Ross.

It seemed appropriate using this quote on the last page of an art journal
to sum up the Brave Girl on-line class I am in.

One more project using this big medallion.....

I love the other elements on this same stencil...

I thought I would place one of those 'satellites' into the center space.

I had the Birds In Trees stamp from Lost Coast Designs stamped onto tissue paper.
I glued that down onto one side of my journal then offset the big medallion
and rubbed the olive green StazOn Ink Pad over it.
Then placed the satellite in the middle and rubbed ink over it, too.

I used my white Posca Paint Pen to define and brighten the inside spaces.

I added some details with other markers as well as my black Posca Paint Pen.

Simple yet Effective.
I love how you can see the birds in trees underneath the green.
I love layers!
I think this would work really well with a patterned scrapbook paper...
or patterned napkins or patterned tissue paper showing through from below.

There you have it!
Playing with Paints and Stencils!
What Fun!

Thanks for visiting!
