StencilGirl and The Documented Life Project with Sandi Keene and Lorainne Bell

Today we welcome.......
Get a sneak peek of their projects here and then head on over to their personal blogs to see how they did it! But before you leave make sure you head on to the end of this post and enter the GIVEAWAY and see about our StencilGirl SALE!!!
Let's start off with Sandi and Lorraine will follow...ENJOY!

Take it away Sandi!!!

What fun to be asked to work with the StencilGirl product line. I was eager to work with these two creative stencils from StencilGirl:

I used acrylic paints to pounce through the stencil with a make up sponge onto my painted background. I added doodling, stitching and painted paper to finish off my project.

For a step by step tutorial on creating this project, click HERE.

Ripples stencil available HERE was my second stencil to work with - this time in my Documented Life Project planner. Loved the stacked circles which are so versatile.

After painting a dark background, I pounced acrylic paint through the stencil with a make-up sponge. Once that was dry, I went doodle crazy creating a galactic feel. I added a quote and a favorite photo to create a background in my planner that is so creatively different to document my week! Those outer rings are screaming for journaling in white pen.
You can find the detailed process on my blog HERE.
Sandi Keene delights in all things involving paper, paint and a good doodle pen. Scrapbooking was her entry into paper arts and she has never looked back, now focusing on watercolor, mail art and doodling. As the creator of Secret Lake Retreat, she built what she most desired - a community of creative women who value friendship as much as their art supplies. Retreat weekends are circled in red in her planner with a countdown running in her head. Sandi loves words, translucent colors, well-made plans and the mountains of NC.  Not to mention her family and dogs who live with her in FL. Visit Sandi's blog HERE

Take it away Lorraine!!
I am so excited to have the opportunity to showcase StencilGirl products this week!  Join me on my journey as I use their beautiful stencils to find my "True North."

It was so hard to choose which stencils I wanted to work with, but I leaned toward their "maps and travel" line for this project.

Come on over to my blog and see how I made these fun projects using StencilGirl stencils!
A self-taught Mixed Media Artist, Lorraine considers herself a wanderer and a dreamer.  She resides in Windermere, Florida but hails from Northern Virginia.  A recent empty nester, she fills her days with painting, traveling, and writing.  She combines all three hobbies to create illustrated art journals bursting with her adventures on the road. Lorraine is one of the 5 members of the Collaborative Team, ART TO THE 5TH.  She created a visual calendar/journal that was the inspiration for The Documented Life Project, a year long undertaking that encourages visual and written chronicles of daily life. Lorraine has been involved in the Art Industry for 30 years, 20 of which were in the Cayman Islands. She teaches at local art stores and has developed several online workshops.
She is a lover of all things random, serendipitous and spontaneous.  Besides being with her family, she would rather be creating with her friends than doing anything else on earth! You can find out more about Lorraine by visiting her blog HERE.
