March StencilClub Inspiration!

Hi, everyone! Mary Nasser here today to show you what I did with the
EXCLUSIVE March 2015 StencilClub stencils designed by MaryBeth Shaw!

It’s always such a delight to get stencils Mary Beth has created for her own Private Collection
that are made available only to StencilClub members!

I had lots of fun creating the art journal spread below combining all three of these stencils!

For this art journal spread, I layered gesso, acrylic paint, text from a vintage book, white stickers I painted and letter stickers, graphite pencil, black Identi-Pen, white Uniball Signo Gel pen and sweet little square stickers Mary Beth Shaw made from images of her paintings!

Below are details of my pages...
the stickers Mary Beth gave me make up the centers of the small flowers:

They added warmth to my palette and I traced around them using a circle from the 9" x 12" stencils!

It brought me joy to paint these flowers growing and emerging from a wintry white landscape, their petals and leaves still snow-covered.

Like many, I'm waiting patiently for spring, and thought a lot about the transition from winter into spring while painting this.

I even incorporated Mary Beth's 6" x 6" January 2015 StencilClub stencil for the centers of the large flowers.
LOVE how her Private Collection series of stencils complement each other!!

Was hard to stop on these pages because I was having SO MUCH FUN!
I know you’re going to love these stencils, too!

  1. Mary, when I saw this I was instantly smiling and thinking of spring. The bright colors are wonderful. This is perfect for brightening a rainy Dallas day (even if we do need the rain!)
