Woven Concertina with Kirsten Varga

Hello creative friend! My name is Kirsten Varga and I am sharing some bookmaking goodness with you on this my first post as a StencilGirl® Creative Team member here at StencilGirl Talk

When I am making a book I am in my happy place. It's the variety and neverending possibilities that keep me coming back. It's a satisfying feeling to hold a finished book that YOU made in your hands. The content can be whatever you dream of and a book's multiple surfaces help to tell your story, using whatever combination of words, pictures, color, shapes, or texture that make your heart sing.

My inspiration for this project comes from book artist Alisa Golden. Her book, Painted Pages, contains many beautiful projects and the Woven Concertina called my name. I like that it is similar to a Jacob's Ladder structure but easier to construct. It only takes one large piece of paper!

Check out the video below to watch me bring this Woven Concerntina to life and I hope you will be inspired to make one of your own.
