Fall-Inspired Junk Journal Page w/ Laura Dame

Hello! Laura here, and today I am sharing a fall-inspired junk journal page with you.

I created this junk journal out of a unique old book that I found at an antique store near me. I think it's a choir book of some sort, as it had a bunch of music pages inside, but it came as this two-ring flippy book. I thought it was so cool and immediately wanted to make a junk journal with it.

Fast forward probably two years, and I still hadn't done it! One day I looked at my shelf and decided it was time. I added a variety of papers to the book, and that was that.

I decided to flip to a page that felt inspiring, and went to work.

Some of my favorite fall colors are Dina Wakley Media Sedona and Eggplant. They kind of shouldn't mix well, right, because they are a reddish orange and a purple, but they so work.
Add in a pop of Turquoise (or in this case, Peacock) and the magic happens. Honestly, mixing either Eggplant or Sedona with Peacock should make mud, but instead you get a deep blue or green. It's so fun to see what happens when you give up control!

I added some subtle florals with the Rae Missigman mask and some spray paint, then decided it also needed grungy marks using a Seth Apter stencil, and finally called the page complete!

Check out the process video below! I hope you feel inspired!
