It's Niamh here from sunny Australia. I am a chronic over thinker and I like to be able to represent this on my journal pages. One of my favourite ways to do this is to create my own personal Greek Chorus using the fabulous assortment of StencilGirl® face stencils. I started off in my Kraft journal with a mix of collage papers and gold/white gesso. I then stencilled over the collage with the Dream Inspire Create stencil add to the text/vintage vibe of the page. I then stencilled my large focal image, the sweet girl large in a dark blue colour so that it stands out from the background.
I outlined the stencilled image with my blue stabillo all pencil and added a wash of water to create an inky effect. I also used a white and red pencil to add an additional layer of colour to the girl. Using all my face stencils in my stash and a Paynes grey colour, I stencilled the faces in the background, overlapping them slightly so that they blend together naturally. I made sure that I stencilled off the page as well, so that it looked like a much larger crowd.
When I have finished the stencilling, I like to add white pen to the eyes of the faces and a dot of white in each of the pupils (catch all). This makes the faces come to life and look more realistic. Finally I stencilled the unfinished words in the middle of the page and added the words 'we are all a little unfinished'.
