Lucie is Back with Some Great New Designs!

Autumn Leaves

Can you ever have too many leaves? This botanical stencil by Lucie Duclos features 12 whimsical leaves of different shapes and sizes. You can create an allover pattern with one or multiple leaves or pile up layers on a gelatin plate. Use them in your journal, as an accent in your mixed media artwork or to fussy cut loose leaves to add to your collages.

Reminiscent of a well-organised Mancave with carpentry/gardening tools carefully outlined and hung on a good man's wall. These shapes can be used however you like in building an interesting abstract surface of shapes and paint effects.

New Stencils From Cecilia Swatton are Available Now!

Cecilia states, "I wanted to create simplified, black-and-white masks that show the flavor of Rex Ray’s art, without copying any of it.  That was a challenge!  Stripped of color, the designs by themselves sagged.  It was those colors that gave them life.  But because of my love for his work, I soldiered on.  Champagne (6” x 6”) and Carnival (4” x 4”) are the results.  I wonder what Rex would say if he could see them?"

 

CHAMPAGNE (S960)

Champagne (6” x 6”) is the title that popped – like a cork? -- into my head as I designed this image. It’s influenced by the whimsy and energy of mid-century modern art, especially that of Rex Ray. 

CARNIVAL (M340)

Carnival (4” x 4”) is a design that makes me happy.  It’s influenced by the playfully fanciful mid-century modern art, especially that of Rex Ray.

Welcome Judy Woods, Our Newest Stencil Designer!

Judy combines collage, mixed media, and acrylic paint and works on paper, canvas, and wood panels. She builds her work in layers to create depth and texture and is inspired by the creative process of embarking on a wonderful journey full of surprises and discoveries. Every painting is a unique puzzle to be created and then untangled.

Shapely Details (G031)

More About Judy

Judy taught Art in Secondary Schools for 16 years before establishing herself as an Artist painting intuitively and producing abstract paintings. Within the first three years of working full-time on her Art, she won several National painting awards in her homeland New Zealand, as well as being a finalist in international juried shows and winning 1st Place in an International online show. She exhibits both in New Zealand and Internationally and teaches painting online through her Judy Woods Art stARTs mentorship program.
