June StencilClub Preview

Hello Stencil Lovers!
to show you how I used this month's StencilClub Stencils
 in my Daily Art Journal.

You know I liberally use stencils as a tool in my Daily.
I am always picking pieces and parts out of them to get
movement and direction... shape and line....
And I am continually mixing different stencils and styles
together on the same layout or page.....

This Spread from May started with an Andrea Matus deMeng face...
Coming right out of her neck area is the beautiful swoop
from the largest of this month's club stencils.

I love the shading and cross hatching which really connects
the two unrelated stencils, making them one.

I used this same swoop in a different direction for my June 3rd entry...
As well as the yin and yang symbol included in the design of the same stencil.

That yin and yang reminded me of a paisley design....
so those got incorporated into the next area.

I didn't get real far on this start of a page in my Moleskine...
Just used a sponge applicator and an Azure StazOn Ink Pad.
It looks kind of dreamy... a good start anyways.

This spread has the insides of the 6x6 round design
going down the center seam of my journal.

Again, I used that swoopy design down the side.
It looks totally different than the other ways I used it.

And last, but not least, a peek into my Gratitude Journal.
It is a small book I bound myself...about 5" x 5".
The smallest StencilClub stencil in this set fits perfectly on a page.
This interesting design invites doodling in it's open areas.

Thanks for joining me.
Hope you love these Crop Circles
designed by Cecilia Swatton.
These are spectacular!

  3. Janet, your artwork is gorgeous! May I have your permission to post two of these images on my blog -- giving full credit to you, of course? The ones I'd like to re-post are the two that were made with the 4"X4" stencil that's part of this 3-part set in the June SencilClub release. And on another tangent, I want to say that your 2-page layout looks (to me) like a piece of paper money from some exotic tropical paradise!
