Suzi Dennis: A Little Serendipity with StencilGirl Stencils

Hi, everyone! Suzi Dennis here! I love creating papers to use in collage and/or my handmade journals, and I love to do them serendipitously! I have created this video for StencilGirl Talk using some powdered pigments, water-based oil pastels and acrylics. The stencils I used in this tutorial are Ancient Marks, Letter Mania, Circle Web, and Fun House Checks, all stencils I designed for StencilGirl.

In this video I show you how to use the dry pigments to make them liquid and permanent. I will show you how to do some layering which result in some beautiful earth tones and metal tones, a real old world feel.
Watch A Little Serendipity on YouTube here.

To see my work and find all my other places go to www.suzisart.blogspot.com. Going there will provide you with links to Facebook, Instagram, Etsy, Pinterest, Flickr and others.

Hope you enjoy and have fun trying this out.

  3. Wow, absolutely love this! It has a very medieval feel. I have a couple of the stencils you used in your video and some Pearl-ex pigments in the back of my drawer! I really learned a couple of new things from your video that I'm excited to try. Thanks for sharing your process!!!
