'Live Gently' a mixed media Layout by Sunila and Aditi (aka Dots to Lines)

Hello,

We are so happy to be back on the blog as guest designers. It's always a pleasure creating for StencilGirl Products®.

Today we've played with layers and stencils and created a fall inspired mixed media style layout. We have a little step by step pictorial for you all as well.

Here's a look at the Layout:

Step 1: We started off with a white 12"x12" cardstock and Lindy's magicals. We smooshed the green colour on the background and dried it. We then mixed our yellow and raspberry with 3D gel medium and spread it in layers with a mini brayer. This gave us the texture and dimension.

Step 2: With the colours still wet, we used our first stencil- Arrows within Rounds by Andrew Borloz (S797) and rubbed in with a baby wipe. This took away the colour from our base and left a nice stencil imprint.

Step 3: We used our custom yellow and raspberry texture paste and spread it through our next stencil- Art Deco Fairview by Natalie Kalbach (L755).

Step 4: Next, we added splatter using the same colours, but only mixed with water this time.

Step 5: For the next layer we used a stencil from the ATC Mixup Set by Pam Carriker (L651) and drew in with a white pen. From the same set, we used another pattern with black ink and brought in our contrast.

Step 6: With our background layers in place, we then coloured a few die cuts, picket out elements from our stash and created a composition to complete the layout.

Here are a few close ups
